Indiana County COVID-19 report
Indiana County saw an increase in the 29 new cases of COVID-19 reported Tuesday. A total of 859 cases were reported in the district this month. The total number of cases is 27 days.
Across the state, there were an additional 2,600 cases reported.
No new deaths were reported Tuesday, and the county’s population remains at 337. 13 deaths were reported this month.
Indiana Regional Medical Center reported 10 COVID patients, with one in the ICU and one on a ventilator. Of the patients admitted to the hospital, six were not vaccinated and four were vaccinated. The patient in the ICU had not been vaccinated.
Free samples of antigens are available through the Pennsylvania Department of Health on a first -come, first -served basis.
Tests are available today and Friday from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the state health center, 75 N. Second St., Indiana.
Individuals are limited to four free exams and no appointments are required.
In Indiana County, 51.6 percent of the population received at least one dose of the vaccine, with 36,314 people, or 45.3 percent, infected and 5,059 cases treated Tuesday.
A total of 72 live vaccines were reported, for a total of 17,653 since Aug. 13.
